Festival Passes

This year the Melbourne Writers Festival has introduced a number of passes to make it easier for you to enjoy the festival. Fans of the festival who attend a number of events should consider the Paperback Pass as a great way of maximising their benefits.

The Paperback Pass: gives you access to 5 regular festival sessions, plus 2 bonus sessions on Fridays, all at a discount to the individual ticket price. Excludes access to Keynotes, Big Ideas, and Special Events. To book tickets using the Paperback Pass please first purchase a Paperback Pass via the menu to the left. You will be immediately given a serial number which you can then use to book events on your pass. Price: $85 Adult, $75 Concession

The Hardback Pass: gives you an allocated seat to the 2 Keynotes and all 9 Big Ideas sessions, as well as general admission to any 2 regular sessions of your choice. Holders of the Hardback Pass will also receive priority queuing. Only a limited number of Hardback Passes are available. Your Hardback Pass will be sent to and your priority seat is secured for all Keynote and Big Idea sessions. You will be immediately given a serial number which you can then use to book your two regular events. Price: $350

The New News 2010 Pass: gives you access to all 10 News Conference Panels at a discount to the individual ticket price, plus access to the New News Big Ideas sessions at RMIT Capitol Theatre. Only a limited number of passes are available. Price: $150 Adult, $135 Concession
