The true story of a Holocaust survivor told by her daughter, journalist Rachelle Unreich, A Brilliant Life is 'an affirmation of the miraculous nature of the human mind to make sense of humanity's worst inclinations, not just survive them’ (Rachel Griffiths).

Emerging from interviews with her mother, Mira, near the end of her life, it unravels the mystery underpinning her survival from concentration camps, and how she ‘learned about the goodness of people’.

Unreich speaks with fellow journalist Jane Rocca about her tender portrait of love, loss, wonder and the resilience of the soul.
