"Ten years after the murder of my son, and amid a national domestic violence crisis, how do we maintain hope that violence against women can be stopped?" – Rosie Batty

Family violence prevention advocate Rosie Batty has spent a decade tirelessly advocating for the rights of women and children. In that time, there has been change – but not enough. "Over the past ten years, we have seen thousands of small steps and it’s our job to keep up the momentum and keep up hope," said Batty (ABC).

The former Australian of the Year has now penned a powerful memoir, Hope, that reveals her journey towards healing in the wake of the horrific act of family violence that shocked the country. In it, she details the story of finding light on her darkest days, using her voice to protect women and children, winning hearts and minds with her courage and compassion, and awakening a long-overdue national conversation.

Join Batty in conversation with Laura Tingle as she shares insight into reclaiming peace in the presence of grief and how to have hope for the future of women and children in Australia.

Book signings will not follow this event.
